It's as expensive or as cheap as you think. If it's of value to you, then it is worth what you are willing to pay for it. Besides, you just can't put a price on happiness. And it makes me happy.
To answer the other question, whether "it reload your gun and clean it for you as well as spot game?" Don't be an idiot. Obviously, yes. I personally don't like the solvent that it uses, but it makes up in reloading consistency and game spotting.
When I buy a peripheral I do so with the intention of mounting it on several rifles, so it's very easy to decide if I can justify the price. Would I be happy with $3660 worth of muzzle brakes sitting on ten rifles in my safe? Not bloody likely! I'd rather buy more rifles with that money
Tactical aftermarket add-ons?
Do you mean scopes and bipods?
I use a variety of add-ons to make my rifle better at the task I'm asking of it at the time.
I put flash hiders on to protect the muzzles, I don't much care what they look like as long as they keep the muzzle from getting plugged with mud. I've tried a few different designs in case I find one that does that job better than others.
I put lasers on when I'm changing the sighting system as it lets me zero without firing a shot.
I put bipods on so I can make more precise shots, and put my rifle down in Gippsland mud without it getting filthy while I clamber over a fence. I've also got numerous designs as I hope to find the ideal.
If I'm not using a bipod I might put a front grip on as it's more comfortable with the single-point sling.
I use brass catchers so I don't lose my brass and it stays clean.
If I had need of a rifle that was simply unshootable without a muzzle brake, then for sure I'd happily spend a grand on one to tame it. But I'd much more likely just load it back to tolerable levels or replace it with something more enjoyable to shoot. Brakes suck, but they do serve a practical purpose when they're required. I would never even consider putting one on for "tactical" asthetics.
