In high traffic areas where discovery and subsequent theft is a concern, don't use a strap that goes around the tree, that strap makes the cameras very easy to spot. I've made some plates and I Tek screw mine to the tree. Makes them harder to steal than just undoing a webb strap and walking off with it
Sooo, Being a tight arse I have ordered a cheapy just to try. It should arrive in about 3 weeks, from China naturally. But also where I intend using it there is a lot of bike riders, shooters etc. Not a long way from nearest town too. So theft is a definite possibility and the G3 is very patchy.
I intend to make a simple metal strap and tek screw it to the trees. (painted grey or black)
So a couple of Qns.
1. Where do you blokes usually fix them height wise, low, high, eye level? Beside game trails? And if its high how do you get it up there, I aint carting no ladder in the bush.
2. Do the animals smell them? If so how to you remove your smell?
3. Do you add any form of cammo?
