in2anity wrote:Those are some impressive groups SHV, the TB groups are also good - I had a similar experience with my Tikka CTR - the way I saw it, I concluded the rifle is basically more accurate than I am - which means I just ran with the starting load to minimise wear on the throat.

But I mostly practice with lead TB loads through her now (to minimise wear and keep costs down) - not as accurate obviously, but from standing offhand shooting at fixed-distance, practice silhouettes, it is more than adequate. I only load up full power loads for a comp or If I get out into the wilderness,..

the projectile is super roo, 14 cent each when I bought them (I bought 3k-4k at that time  ), the rifle is not expensive also cheap to run, very happy for the purchase

another 5 shot group, shouldn't adjust the scope during the reload test, seems the first shot (far right one) didn't follow the adjustment

this time Ruger did a good job, free floating barrel, no stock sanding needed, kind of surprise

Looks good SHV...!!:  ...cant be too disappointed with that...!!... :)

I have a (to potentially be perceived as silly), unrelated question though... :)

Why do you write the load data on a post it note & stick it to the target...?.../...Why not just write it on the target...?

What if someone switched the stickies around when you weren't looking... :?...how would that fair for the confirmation load test... :?: :x

What if the glue on a pack of sticky's was dodgy & a gust of wind came & blew them off... :o ...and you had to go running down the range looking like a drunk version of Mr Bean with numb legs & side-show-bob feet trying to stomp on the targets to catch them...

And then, in your vein attempt to catch some stickys, & with your back turned, another target blew away, & when you got back to the bench, you saw that target blowing down the range & thought to yourself--i pity that bloke having to chase his target, a tleast i caught mine before it got that far...!... & then when you go to show someone that target & you cant find it, that person says "its not that one blowing down the range is it...?  :P :unknown:

I made the notes/sticker before reload, put on the table as reference and after reload put the sticker and the ammo into zipper bags, so I know which bag is which ammo
at shooting range I always shoot from the low charge to high, so I remember the sequence,I guess I'm too lazy to write it again on the target, so just put the stickers next to each group to take photo, then throw them away
