I agree with the advice about OSA/Buffalo River ammo. It is not only amazingly accurate, but it is made in Australia [using local and imported products]. Half the battle in producing accurate ammo is to use quality components, and in Sierra bullets, they have adhered to that policy. I THINK the brass is made by ADI, and I have no idea what primer is used, but it must be okay, because every person I've come across using this ammo gets very good accuracy. Two points; [1] Lots of people want to use heavy bullets in .223s these days, but unless you are shooting long range targets, there's no real benefit - in fact quite the opposite, because the case size favours lighter bullets, not heavier. If you are going to hunt larger animals, use a larger caliber, not try to turn the .223 from an excellent varmint cartridge into a very mediocre medium game one. Point two, hold on to your brass. In time, you may want to reload, although with that OSA stuff, it will take you quite a while to make ammo either better or cheaper than you can buy it - unless you shoot A LOT! If you hunt with it, buy it in bulk in the little plastic trays and you should be able to get it for around $80-$85/100. If you buy Sierra bullets by the 100, you will pay over $50/100 just for the bullets, never mind the powder and primers.
