Qld pistol licence questions

Post by BenC » 26 Aug 2018, 2:54 pm

I’m new to cat h. I have nearly completed my 6 months probation and was wondering
Roughly how long does it take to get your cat h licence in Queensland once you put in your application and how long for your 1st PTA
Can you lodge a pta while your licence is being processed.
Cheers

Got my card in 14 days after applying online and 1st pta in 4 days. But that was 2 years ago. You should be able to do 2 pta's with your case reference number while waiting on you card to come. 1 rimfire and a air pistol OR 1 center fire and a air pistol.

I recently did mine in qld. Took about 15 weeks. Pta was approved same day as cat h application. I hear things are but quicker currently. Check the qld wait times post for updated info.

Mine took 4 months from application to card. Got my card yesterday.

Four months is the ballpark for new license applicants going on the current experience of our club members.
