well done Mate.

The dogs down here are still on the quiet side as far as killing sheep, but they are starting to move a bit more frequently.
I'm currently looking for one that I've seen twice now, and a local roo shooter has seen once.
It races across the bitumin in almost exactly the same place and into a property that I don't yet have access to.

This dog is a real pretty, dark auburn color, and sleek as.
The last time I saw it was mid afternoon, and the sun was shining on it as it made its dash across the road.
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
I've come to realize that,,,,, the two most loving, loyal, and trustworthy females in my entire life were both canines.

Yeah DJ thanks and they come in all colours as you've noticed I laid eyes on two big ones on Monday arvo but too far out they're sorta territorial so they'll be hanging around while there's food around one was black/tan and the other was light brindle which is a rare colour up here maybe dog gone wild made a few reloads so go back out later this arvo

Yeah one was a little poor but the other 2 were in good nick went out tonight and saw another one but didn't take a shot it was on the move and travelling fairly quick so rather than miss and risk the chance of spooking it I didn't take the shot so next time he won't take as much notice of me which in turn will be fatal for him

G'day CQshayne yes mate there is a few up here but it's hard country and as most dog hunters know you have to put in the time sit and out wit as they say getting to know the traits of a wild dog helps even then it may not be enough been hunting and shooting dogs since I was 10 i'm 65 now still learning I saw a dog shooter on google state that if you are not on the move you won't get dogs well all I found doing that is you wear your legs out and get no more dogs if you know they are there you just have to work them out and out smart them get them to come in not run all over the country side leaving scent which will only spook them with strange smells its like dropping a fart in a car every one clears out a dog is no different to strange smells or human smells

Its possibly different here in the west.Dogging is done on station country and at least 50% of the job is baiting then trapping known areas followed by shooting off a quad. The quad is supplied and has a GPS so DEC can track where you go and a log book has to be kept of your activities. It has become a major problem on some stations that do goats and or sheep
