Identify a scope

Post by rwhitey » 10 Nov 2018, 8:24 pm

Hey Guys,

Wanting to get a bit of info on this scope that I own. Bought the rifle and scope second hand from a Gun shop going on 10 years ago and just wanted to get some info on it, even the make of the scope would be good.. its a 6.5 - 20 x 50 that's all I know.

Would anyone have any idea where I could find out what brand it is by looking at the emblem?

-Rob.

Can't really help, but it does look like a stylized "A", which also has a small "R" registered TM logo at its lower right.

If there is no brand name on it then it is probably exactly that, no name, miscellaneous Chinese copy of something better.

May be some confusion with spelling of name.
If you look down the list at that site, the scopes are named Acusport, as opposed to Aquasport, or Aqusport.
Have no idea of their heritage or quality though.

If it's usable then use it I say, don't get all hung up on if it's this that or the other, use it till it fails then buy something better if you think it's needed.

Found the scope box from the old scope off my cz452. Back when it had a fixed 4 X power on it. Paid $125 for it (sticker on box) back in 2000. It was quite a clear scope. Still have it in the cupboard. Had seen the A on it. But wasn’t sure what the brand was until I found the box. Would be interested if any body knows any more about the brand. Guess it just a Australian company branding and bringing in scope from some where. Dunno
