You can do a similar thing with a plastic bag stretched over a piece of cardboard and painted black.

Good one. I wonder if it'd work just painting some signwriters adhesive vinyl? Be a good use for old stuff where the adhesive is NFG.

I'd say give it a go mate, nothing to lose I'd say. you can just buy that fluro yellow cardboard from the newsagency and spray it flat black, bang a fluro dot where you want em, it seems to do a pretty good job like shoot and see targets if memory serves me correctly (pretty sure I've done it many years ago)

Yeah mate, I think any non porous adhesive covering like that would do the trick.

I had just bought a pack of 20 from ebay for $17 and had the idle curiosity about how hard it would be DIY, and bugger me, not hard at all it seems.

Had a thought. Why use tape and have the edges that need to be cut down, it seems to me extra work.

Then I started thinking, a4 plastic sleeve protectors. Insert the colored page in it. Or even slight paper glue stick if worried about the two surfaces moving.

Maybe I try my variation next time I goto range. Lol it can only fail

Well, they work.

The gusty wind is all over the place like a mad woman's knitting today, so I just tried at 100m, but they were well and truly more visible than the white paper I usually use.

Three ADI SS109s with23gr of 06H and my last two Nosler 50gr varmint with 26gr.

Seems there's always a vegan, doesn't want to be like everyone else

Yeah Scott, and as the normal way Mr Murphy's rules of the world dictate, I learned about it literally 5min after buying 20 store bought from ebay.

I wondered, after clicking the pay button, how they make them, which inevitably led to "can I make them."

Never mind, I'll use the flouro store bought jobbies for 300 and up.

I wish mate.

Hardly ever get 20min without bloody wind, let alone 20 days

8" diameter, self adhesive. The dots are for patching. 20 for $14, $3 postage and 4 days to get here from Palmerston in the N T.

Or maybe just the painted baking paper...? :unknown:

Id go out & try it now but im an hours drive from letting off any noisy lead spitters...

Hey Stix, you demanding bitch

I'm about half an hour south of some twice distilled ethanol, and 35km SW of the nearest page sleeves shop, so it'll have to be one of those things we'll both have to pine for, for a few days at least.

Ahh sorry stix, I was planning to use some glue to hold the plastic pockets and paper together. But it didn't work as it didn't stick to the plastic sheets. But it held up pretty well. Only tried it with 22lr. So not sure hoyts it will go with bigger cal. But

That's far better than tape Ziad, much more "splash" and no piss about with tape. Well done.

My Roo Max should reach town Tue or Wed, so when I go in to pick them up I'll hit the dollar shop and get some.

No fuss Stix, I just don't touch those toys when I'm chemically enhanced :D
