This annoys the absolute crap out of me.
I’ve seen zeiss, leo’s, all manner of scopes being ripped off on eBay - it used to be that the wads would advertise insanely cheap as a give away to authenticity but I’ve seen a rip off zeiss conquest, on there, brand new - for 75% of retail. I almost pulled the trigger and someone pointed out to me, that particular model wasn’t made in 6-18...that was the only give away / mistake in the entire ad.

I have around 20 lever action Marlins, amongst other lever actions.
The MO site is a great source of info, and banter.

I have it bookmarked as an owner myself which is why I asked, but don't go there often, mind you, I also don't shoot often either lol.

You'd have to be brain dead and retarded to think that's a genuine article  No doubt it gets heaps of people who just go by a pic and think it's got to be real, which clearly it isn't, I've notified Zeiss and Leupold many times regarding these types of ads but there seems little they can do about it, :unknown:

Many years ago now, I bought this "Tasco" (they even spent it right) scope out of China though Ebay, knowing full well it to be a rip off, for the princely sum of $30 free postage. Bought it just for the sh@ts and giggles and see how many rounds it would take to destroy it. First thing I noticed when I recieved it was that the red led was not working, so, again, for s&g's I contacted the seller and told him about that, didn't get a reply, which I wasn't really expecting to anyways. About a fortnight later I recieved a package containing new electronics for both the red and green illumimnation with instructions on how to replace them.
Well, long story short, have had that "Tasco" for over 10 years now, and have used it on .22 lr, .243 win (pict) .308 win, 303 le and 30-06. It has endured thousands of rounds in total with no signs of falling to pieces. Can still dail it around a target making oval two round, or gloverleaf three round hole in the repeatability test.
So, I reckon it's true when they say 'never expect things to live up to your expectations". I expected this scope to be a pigs ear, but what I got was a silk purse.

I'm going to try and sell the retards a big arch shaped bridge for $1k, I reckon I could get it if they are that stupid and not research what it is they want to buy :D

And if that don't work I'm going to email em and let em know their long lost uncle from Scotland died and left em a Billion Dollars, all they have to do is give me their bank account details so I can transfer it in.

I do hear what you are saying though mate, there are plenty of halfwits out there waiting to be parted with their hard earned.

It's amazing how many people actually get scammed out of their $$$ just staggering. :unknown:

I ran into a young fella at Ripley range yesterday morning complaining that his “cheap “ Leupold wasn’t holding any sort of point of aim. I promptly informed him of the online counterfeit scopes. Poor bloke looked embarrassed about being conned. Some people have been taken for a lot more than $130 in bad dealings, in the grand scheme of things he got off lightly
