CZ 455 review and 22WMR ammo test

Post by SHV » 29 Nov 2018, 7:50 pm

got second hand CZ 455 3 barrel combo, the 22 WMR barrel is new (other two barrel just used 1 time at range and put in safe for 1 year) the stock scratched a little but for me it is purely the hunting rifle and after put the butt stock pouch you won't see it

I like to try 22 MAG and use it to fill up the gap between 22LR and 223REM in the field, 17 HMR later maybe but not the 22LR because I've got 3 other 22LR's

it was an impulse buy but for 400 dollars(plus transfer fee 45 dollars) I believe it worth the money as long as the 22 MAG grouping not to shabby...

Mate I think you will be more than happy with it once you have upgraded your scope.
I have owned several CZ BRNO and all have been good rifles. I am however a little sceptical of the 455 and its modular barrel change design. I don’t have anything to back that up, just personal preference and opinion. Will be interested to see how it goes mate.

Have ya tried the subs thru it? (Win 45).
I use'em for plinkin and toads and out to a hundred they're one of the most accurate (thats in a old Stirling mod 15)
They've got a rainbow trajectory but can be a lot of fun. :drinks:

I got 3 22LR rifles, about same bullet weight subsonic ammo, compare to 22lr subsonic, 22WMR seems no difference but much more expensive...

that's the 1" vortex rings, the scope is 4-12x50 about 1,400 dollars

the rifle is 400 dollars second hand really bargain but it turns out spend much more on the scope and the steel rail is about 100 dollars not cheap either

I'm impressed with the ammo there.
I tested all three of the S&B .22LR offerings and they were universally poor for me.
