Finally found my 686 8 3/8" barrel.

Been looking for one of these for some time. Found this S&W 686-3 for sale on used guns.com . I was lucky enough to be the first caller and scored this beauty minutes after it was posted for sale. The seller later told me he had many inquiries on this much sought after model. It's in superb condition and with a quick polish it come up a treat. I also replaced the hogue rubber grips with a set of jarwuan's ebay wood grips which really look great I think. This 8/38" barrel version is not for everyone I know but it makes for a great Steel silhouette gun which is one of my favourite ssaa comps I shoot.
I figured I can't really go wrong buying this rare version because I will always at least get my money back if I ever sell. It's a sweet accurate shooter and the long barrel tames most .357 mag loads. Cheers gun nut.
