Dvd prices have gone up.

Post by bronco93 » 15 Dec 2018, 2:53 pm

So I just had someone offer me $150 for a live aid dvd I bought about 4 years ago for $60. So I thought to myself s**t yeah easy money. I dusted it off cause it has litterally been sitting in dvd cabinet for past 3 and half years. I had a quick look on ebay to see they are selling for $400.

Thoughts are I should chuck it on ebay and it would help fund next gun purchase or hold on and hope it goes up in value. I cant see it going up in value or even holding value though, I reckon once all the hype over bohemian rhapsody settle down it will go back to usual price.

Whats everybodys opinion?

Cheers

Yeh you would be suprised, I was in Tokyo earlier this year and some of the prices for original audio casettes were crazy, many OP shops in Australia give them to me for free. Then I researched first release CDs and the prices are climbing rapidly too. DVDs will follow the same path as they become rarer and time passes by.
There will always be an interest in history and physical media especially as we move further into a digital world, most people at least respect the idea of simpler times.
s**t even "dumb phones" are getting popular again.
