Did the copper doing the inspection say if there was any particular "trigger" (pardon the pun
) for it or was it a case of lucky dip??
No lucky dip apparently Mate.
From what he told me just before Xmas, there is an increase in rural areas being targeted by thieves looking for F/arms.
However, they are mainly choosing easy targets ie, arms not secured, or in substandard lock away cupboards etc.
He said there was a case in the last few days (? up your way) of six or eight being knocked off in one hit.
And the Qld police are starting to do more inspections as a result, state wide.
So if they work their way through the lists methodically everyone in Qld that has f/arms will eventually get inspected.
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
