Looks good, shame they are not going to chamber 303. Wonder what sort of price they will be.

This is where all our Cadets have been going recently, and why they were paying up to $600 for them. Some are sold "as is" into the collectors market but most are being re-chambered to a common sporting round. The reason they aren't in 303 is because the Cadet will handle 30-40 Krag pressure but not 303, Cheers.

I like that.
I want a Martini, but for shooting, not collecting. I would much prefer a new replica I think,

why not atleast put a decent stock on it. No doubt about $600 US or a $1200 landed lol.

I wonder if dimension of the action mirror the cadet or he has used a thicker frame ??

Here's an interesting thread https://www.levergunscommunity.org/view ... =1&t=73185
Sorry, but you're a long way shy on the pricing. How about starting at US$1,700 for the standard version?
It would appear that they might be "new made" actions - there's a picture that shows a Skinner type sight fitted where it could never go on an old Martini action.
But, they are listening re the 303 :)

I was the original poster over there. It was good to see DAMKO join in the discussion and that they're taking an interest in the feedback.

It's an interesting action / receiver setup with the Francotte pattern innards in a Martini Henry shaped receiver rather than the usual humpback as seen on Cadets and the Westley Richards ZAR specials.

I'm not a fan of the stock, particularly the clunky looking forend and would prefer something like this:

$1699 US is going to make it an expensive proposition here.

For those dollars you could buy a quite good genuine, real MH and shoot with some style and history!

I haven't seen anything on the receiver thickness but ccording to DAMKO:

"The action is sized right between a full-size and cadet-sized action"

.I mean build your own rifle from ex it sting parts. I've already done a very rough pricing and I reckon I could easily build one for under a grand, and that's a brand new barrel on it..

Are actions readily available still? What do they sell for? I'd prefer a full-size Martini over a Cadet.

Sounds about right based on the below interview with Mick Smith who owned a gun shop right on George St in Sydney until a few years ago. The bloke bought 16,248 martini cadets in one lot, at 4 shillings (40c) apiece!

Where the hell are they all now :-(
We need one of our local manufacturers to do a run of Martini actions, shouldn't be hard to fit into their usual efforts.

IMA is still selling off the Nepal cache of Martini's. I thought about buying one as a fun restoration thing.

This new one seems a bit pricey for what it is.
