Sorry, DIDDUMS, the fox's right rear leg at the joint looks like it's been injured - caught in a fence, trap etc...

Could have been, it did seem to run fine when I sent the first one over its head.

Its getting closer...

The wee ones 'll be zipping across in front of the car on dirt roads soon...

This year, still being heavily into my fur fetish, i hope to get a little one to skin out & tan..

.Why...?

...just because i want to...& because a baby fox fur will be a talking point next to my monster lion cat pelt...

Ill be dancing to the pointer sisters soon...!!!

 bring on the redskins

It has been pretty dry over here in WA. But it has been raining foxes. I have managed to get out two night in a row. Which doesn’t happen very often. We managed to pick up 5 foxes on night one and another 2 the next night. The highlight was when the cocky and I spotted these two off in the distance. A quick hit with the button whistle and two foxes curiosity overcame their sense of self preservation. They both sat there wondering what was it with that bright light and noise? I aimed for fox on the right. The cocky the left. Down my fox went. The fox on the right dropped out of sight before a shot could be taken. His inquisitive nature overrode his common sense, and back up he popped. He had no time to regret his decision because he got whacked by the cocky’s .243 and my 204. No more lamb killing for these 2.

Nice. Very impressive. What did you shoot them with? I use my 204 which is absolutely devastating.

Well, they certainly do the trick. You certainly stopped those foxes laughing in church. It’s funny how things work out. One one of the properties I shoot on,we haven’t seen any foxes for months. Then the last few times the place has had a lot of them wandering around.

Howdy, went out the vineyard the other day after installing the timney that Rod gave me for the 788.
Trigger felt unreal. Was a great addition. Went for a quick spotlight. Got this little fella that came into the whistle.

I have been out and about targeting foxes again. This is one of the little blighters that was sent to Valhalla over the weekend. We saw probably a dozen foxes, but only managed to get four. Most of them were pretty cagey and quite unsportsmanlike in my view. I had my first dismal attempt at using a Tenterfield whistle. I really need a lot more practice with it. I also used the technique of rubbing a piece of styrofoam on the windscreen and that contributed to one of the foxes downfall. Another made the mistake of concentrating too hard on the rotting carcass he was eating. So it was an enjoyable, but frustrating night. Having said that the more fox shooting I do, the more I enjoy it.

The fox below should have abandoned his meal.

Good work Bruiser , what about a scotch predator caller ? I use one , easy to use and if the foxes are around and interested it brings them in .
Also you can buy replacement reeds from the USA .
