Any one got load data for 243w 103g eldx bullets using AR2209 powder.
I asked Hornady and got 2 different answers. Check out their 2 replys cut and pasted them below.
My question to Hornady was:
Hi I have a S/S Krieger .Barrel #5 contour 24" .243w 1:8t fitted to a S/S Vanguard action. I'm looking at loading the Hornady 6mm 103g ELDX projectiles for the above rifle. 1. Does my barrel meet the requirements of this projectile. 2.If so can you please send
me load data for H4350 and H1000 and recommended primers. Thanks
1. Thank you for writing in to us. Your barrel twist does meet the requirements to shoot this bullet. We don't have data for H1000, but H4350 starts at 38.3 gr and
maxes at 41.0 gr. I prefer Federal large rifle primers, followed by CCI then Winchester.
My second question was;
I recently purchased 103g eldx projectiles to use in my 243w rifle. Can you please inform me what the recommended COAL would be.
2. Thank you for your email. We have do not have any specific data for our 103 ELDX in 243 Win. I can tell you they like to be .015-.020" off the lands and will
need an 8 twist to stabilize.
Figure this reply out from a well known company like Hornady!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
