Knife sharpening compound

Does anyone use a knife sharpening compound?

I'm wondering what the value is in adding this to your practice over just using a regular wet stone.

Has anyone got experience with it? :drinks:

it is for polishing the edge after you have sharpened the blade, it is polishing compound
I used to strop knives on a leather strap that I had applied green polishing compound and could get very good sharp edges
but I use diamond plates now and just steel the edges now as I'm lazy
