Is there a system for GPS tracking your hunting mates when out in the scrub and separated?

When hunting I tie a gps tracking collar to my sniffer dog just in case he gets off the lead accidentally I also tie one to my Ute or quad so I can find it easy if it’s dark or the weather turns overcast ....so u just gotta tie one of those to your mates neck

If you have signal - have you tried the "find my phone" "or "find my friends" on the iphone ? Works very well...

I understand one brand of gps (is it the Rhino model...?) shows up others if they are using the same brand (or maybe model)...?
The man who knows everything, doesnt really know everything...he's just stopped learning...

We use garmin inreach , every time you message it sends your gps position, I think the garmin rhinos only work in uhf range , the drawback is a monthly subscription but these things are awesome in remote areas like the Vic high country

yes, one of the major brands had a gps system a few years ago that was quite detailed had detailed maps as well as the ability to show where nearby users are, provided everyone uses the same device or running same brand/software i'd assume. not sure 100% that it was garmin but i feel like that is it.

The Garmin rhino models 650 and 750 have blue force trackers on them ie shows your were every one else who has one is and has a proximity alert.

With that texting feature I'd probably want to buy two.

Pricey, but it sure looks the goods.

It’s a great GPS very versatile, and has a lot of accessories for mounting options
