Nice collection but not sure about the lookin glass sights though.
I managed to win my clubs “Military walk up” comp this year (5 shots at each of 50, 100, 150 yards off hand) with my 1874 Mk1 Martini Henry. Pretty sure it was my rousing rendition of Men of Harlech that honed my performance on the trigger.

Now that is a damn fine collection of Martini's. Absolutely magic little single shots. Have been a fan of these fine firearms for over 40yrs.
Currently have nine in my possession ranging from 22Rf to 357Mag.
Have another custom in 20-222Rim at the 's moths waiting for me to finalise & collect. Once that's done I'll give him a Kyber Pass copy MH large action to make up as a 45Long Colt.

The action can be cycled very smooth with a bit of practice.I had the Greener shotgun which is a falling block and people were spun out how fast I could put 5 shots through it.I have never had a rifle with a falling block action so not sure how quick you can get

so caught up with ole mate this morning and had a fondle of some of his recent builds. Anyway managed to grab 2 pieces of almost finished timber for a future project and then made the mistake of taking a 2nd look at a rebuilt 22 magnum martini, big mistake as i ended up with both the unfinished timber and the 22 magnum barrelled action.

PTA in this arvo I should have the bits in a few weeks, managed to part trade a scope for the deal so the wallet is still intact.

base will be a modified leupold unit machined to fit the barrel, turn in rings. Burris FFII 3-9x40, small game walk around rig

thanks Bent arrow, rebuilt action, new pin, quick release torx to drop out the action, new firing pin and spring, trigger at 2.5lbs, bent handle, fresh blueing, action drilled at the rear for easy cleaning. I got to examine the case after firing and its a good chamber. Always had a soft spot for the 22 magnum so looking forward to using on foxes and smallish ground huggers.

if i can find a cheapish used 20 cal barrel I may convert into a 20/357 aka a rimmed 20 Vartag.

Thanks for your comment, I had the stock made by Ken Davis here in WA, he has done three for me on Martinis. The stock isn't cut out in any way for the lever.

The Martini is a beautiful looking rifle. I have a 577/450 and a 310 and love shooting the 577. I also used the old international club rifles for small bore as a kid. These club rifles were old and well used but were still good enough to win with and a pleasure to shoot.

Well I got the martini influenza bad this week, was dropping off a cervelatti recoil pad to be fitted to the wood work and somehow I ended up trading up the 22 magnum to a larger 357 based wildcat lol.......

70grs at 2600fps looks to be on the cards

I'm seriously thinking of having one built up next year. I'm a quarter-bore tragic and while I'm still to explore the potential of the two 25-20's I own, I'm thinking a 25-20 on steriods (256Win Mag) would be the duck'c nuts in a Martini Cadet action custom rig. I'm thinking a 24" octagonal barrel with a nice quarter-fib scope base and a light & small 1.5-5x scope.

picked up the new girl today, needs a bit more oil in the walnut, pretty happy with the Loopy bases turn in ring set up, range session to come

I found it annoying with scope so close to the ramp... (is it called a ramp... )
So i put higher rings on-still find it a little annoying though.

How are the mounts fitted Bill...?
Are they direct on to the barrel...? (I find it hard to see properly in the pic).
Just curious as id like to chsnge mine one day...

tight is good stix cause the right side of the action has been opened up a little so just a quick tilt of the rifle to get a case removed.

Loopy bass has been shaped to the barrels profile and a few screws attach it to the barrel, rear turn in ring has had the base ground down a smidge to fit the lower profile base/barrel. Ill take a few pics of the set up

I'm in 2 minds as to what I should do to the 218 Bee, especially as the timber really is too nice and I have a couple of spare 25 cal T3 barrels lying around......
