Ruger single six purchase .

Post by Gun nut. » 23 Aug 2019, 5:32 pm

Found this Ruger single six in .22/.22mag on SSAA gun sales a few weeks back.
I sold one of these about 5 years ago and really missed it . They are great little rimfire revolvers.
So time for some more single action fun at the range . Cheers.

I agree,

I have the blued version with 9.5in barrel which I use for the "Revolver" division of rimfire metallic silhouette.

While I still have the original sights in the cupboard, it has been fitted with some locally made KBM silhouette sights.

Have two of these great pistols. The first was a 9.5" model that had some work done on the internals & trigger and a Hogue grip fitted. This pistol is very accurate and a joy to shoot.
The second one is a 6.5" version that has seen better days with a lot of holster wear. Compared to its long barrelled brother, it is clunky & agricultural. That said it still shoots very well.

Like the look of the stainless version. Hmmm, might have to look at a 10-shot version & fit a set of pearl-handle grips.

Love Ruger pistols, great pieces of engineering.

I've got a couple of those. I bought two, one for me and one for my pop back in the 70's.

I wish he still had his and we could go shoot them together.
