For anyone contemplating a weekend away anywhere

REMEMBER THE AEROGARD, it should live in the glovebox ( as long as your glovebox does not get hot and explode your car ) I had to leave my hunting block and make a special trip to town to get some better repellant. I already had tropical strength “. 0ff “ made by Johnstone a Johnstone It’ says up to 8 hrs protection but I was still getting annoyed by them and after about 8 mins they were back again in full force. I ended up buying aerogard and bush mans plus but at the end of two days I still reckon u have to kill them not repel them You might think you have 1000 flies bothering you but u really only have about 200 and u are swatting away and they just keep coming back making you think u have 1000 flies annoying you. The real answer was bottle fly traps filled with attractant liquid and sticky coil strips you can hang from anywhere. These work so fast you don’t have to return every ten mins to c how many u got. U can actually just sit there and watch these flie kill themselves ....now I have so many flies dead there’s no way I’m going to try to count them. I just have an occasional one here and there flying around and it is no longer a problem. The problem was 200-300 flies but now they are all dead

Those mozzie / fly coils that you burn and they smoke away slowly, do work well but you can’t carry them around. Smoke in general from a campfire seems to keep some at bay....
Is there anything worse than waking up hearing BZZZZZZZ right next to your ear drum, and your half asleep, so you go WHACK!!! And it was 3 times harder than you thought it was going to be, and well Fark - now your ear is killing you...but you write it off, settle back down with a slight ringing in your ears...

Then....

BZZZZZZZ.

The sticky strip coils by themselves only caught about twenty flies in three hours ,,,,and the bottle trap by itself caught the same. I don’t think there is much Attractant in the sticky strips But when I combined the two methods real close to each other I caught about 200 flies in three hours. Now I m beginning the plan how I can go about catching 200 pigs in three hours

I just saw something on tele about Harry and William ( Royals ) .....to them people , media and paparazzi must be like constantly annoying flies like I just had to deal with on my hunting trip. But they can’t swatt them poison them use aero guard. ....imagine being constantly swarmed by thousands of flies your entire life and never being able to avoid their attack . It must be hell for them ...and when they are home close the doors and draw the curtains but you know they are still there because you can hear one buzzing against the window pane

I have been at Millmerran for a few days, and the buggers are bad out there at the moment.

No unfortunately!!! LOL

This place we were on is only a small block with no pigs on it. We use it for when we want a few days away, especially if we want to do some rifle testing away from the gun range. Private property makes rifle tinkering a lot easier. We have known the owners for over 30 years, but they do not have any good hunting properties any more.

Nets! - your hunting buddies will hate you. It's a PITA but no repellent will stop them settling on you. The look of envy is worth the price.
