Tacti-cool straight pull options.

G'day guys,

Looking to drop some money on a 12G tacit-cool straight pull. Just want some advice on options as there appears to be a few. Would prefer to spend extra to get something that's going to last a lot longer that is ultimately smooth and issue free to operate.

Criteria:
- VIC/NSW legal
- Smooth action
- Large bolt to grip nice and fast for quick and easy manipulation (options to customise would be easy).
- Ability to attack a rail for a red dot.

Cheers for the advice lads.

I have the Dickenson T1000 Synthetic 28", but bought the Tactical pistol-grip stock and 20" barrel as well. Only takes five minutes to swap the stock and barrels over.

I haven't done anything about mounting sights yet, but drilling and tapping a rail on should be easy enough.

Dickinson seems solid.
Cmore is quality but 3k.
Berika black ops is having its challenges with customs but probably what you are looking for.
Then there's the junk like Adler and pardus.

A mage has a Dickinson and had I have handled that previously - I’d have not bought my Adler - the D is a couple steps above in quality but hey - they all shoot.

Just as an FYI

If you have the 20 inch pistol grip Dickinson T1000, you can not revert back to the standard non pistol grip stock......there is a small indent preventing it from swapping over.

The other way straight stock to pistol no issues.

Interesting, is it something that can be easily modified, with a file or drill perhaps?

No, I wouldn't do anything to the receiver, but buttstock is just plastic.

Can't you grind off the stock whatever fits into the notch?

possibly, but I CBF. I like the pistol grip more than the normal stock, but if someone wants a new straight stock, I will sell it cheap! Paid about $140 for it by memory.

Yep, same here, the pistol grip works better for me too.
