Where I have to get to now is extremely rugged, and it includes mountains, huge boulders, loose rubble, trees/logs, deep ravines, and zero mobile phone coverage.
Nigh on impossible to get through in a four wheel drive, and up till now either walk or horse back only.
Now we have a narrow track through the middle (small dozer) of the roughest areas, which enables me to go Quad.
So, while traversing the track (recently nicknamed the "gun barrel highway") I have the opportunity to veer off in whatever places look like being possible for the Quad.
So I've just built this rough rifle rest incorporating rifle grips.
I can now carry two rifles and a shottie that are quickly and easily accessed.
Being a big single cylinder it makes quite a "thump thump" noise that is not very desirable for hunting.
So I built a secondary muffler using RHS steel, that is packed with eight meters of fine stainless steel mesh folded in concertina style.
Now when its started, it is really quiet.
So now, when the moon is full on, I can swap and hunt during the day.
I do not fear death itself... Only its inopportune timing!
I've come to realize that,,,,, the two most loving, loyal, and trustworthy females in my entire life were both canines.
