I survived lots of nail gun fights at work without any permanent injuries

We would all love the laws to be applicable to how we envision society “should” work, just like the old days for me, but its delusional to think it’s a possibility - the litigious society we now live in, simply prevents it by removing responsibility snd common sense...spending time in several primary and local high schools, I’m just amazed...as to lack of common sense...I’m for let Darwin sort em out / helmets off bikes, seat belts for choice, etc - but this generation...fark me - they’d be all gone in 10 years if you applied 1960’s 70’s living arrangements...
TassieTiger wrote:Better than you? Not sure - but I’m definitely older, approaching 50 faster than I like...mid 40’s, but I generally agree with your sentiments, this generation do not have a clue - but it’s not exactly their fault....they have been set up to fail by the “system”.
As per your verse - Show me a great man, who is the son of a great man....
sons who are born into a very successful family, generally don’t make it due to their upbringing... and except of course Buddha. But he had to sit under a tree for an awful long time...and let’s be honest, if the kids had airsoft - Buddha would have been fair game and things would have turned out a little different
TassieTiger wrote:So your kid is working his shift at subway and some knob prick - who otherwise, wouldn’t have access - walks in to rob the joint and your kid loses an eye in the process, you think that’s the kids or parents fault ?
TassieTiger wrote:With the same Line of thought - why not have air rifles available outside of licensing ? If these things can really shoot 350-400fps, there half way there anyway...where is the line I guess ? Are they toys if they can imbed their projectiles under the skin ? How do they actually function - can they be improved upon like paint ball markers to pass that “line”? By the way, I was shot in the side of the mouth once with a paint ball (2 years ago now) - the guy who shot me accidentally, said my knuckle hurt more than a ball, but I don’t know, both hurt me.

People tend to freak out because they have not had exposure to them. Thats their problem for being scared of an inanimate object not ours. Every house I saw in Croatia was strapped with handguns and automatic weapons. Yet people over here are freaking out about a kids toy. Makes no sense how people can be afraid of inanimate objects.
Watch this podcast guys. NSW government got pumped in court just recently buy a court case about gel blasters. Maybe they will be legal down there soon. There was nothing in the legislation to make them illegal. Get heaps of kids playing with these than when they grow up they will be interested in firearms and become lawful owners and hopefully we can get closer to pre 1996 laws.

The do nothing take nothing back, stand for nothing attitude is all the license they need to keep taking liberties away. Rights not exercised and fought for are non existent.
Truth is Airsoft is safe, and is worldwide, only in the imaginings and minds of the scared and conditioned do they pose a threat, and if an individual breaks laws or caused harm, that individual should've held accountable no one else

As I’ve said, despite the safety side, my main concern from my POV would be to give the antis ammunition for tighter control - the irony is not lost on me re this situation.
Cheers. TT.
