TFE you are laughing about this situation? Shame on you.

I suppose you think i am stupid... but what does that make you? Hey atleast i know i will have plenty of food (chickens, eggs, sheep, even horse meat if it comes to that), water, plenty of leaves to use as toilet paper, unless i can work out how this bidet works. while last a few months atleast while you will be eating cat food... until you run out of that, and wiping your bum on the cat.

So who is worried now?

Ohh as far as IQ, i think our pet silkie hens have higher IQ than you do mate... and that's saying cuz they very dumb

Of course it's serious. Not sure you can draw too many parallels with the Spanish flu in that epoch to what we're facing today, but setting aside the mortality and morbidity numbers, our hospitals and clinicians will be overstretched and could potentially collapse in a heap. Not to mention the ventilators and whatever else is needed.
I cant recall those dire circumstances with influenza over the years so we are way past 'its only the flu' rhetoric.

Aside from calling up retiree clinicians, the only country we could call on to help us out are the Kiwis. And that would depend on how they're going with it.

Well mate, maybe my IQ is a bit low as well, but I'm reading 15% of the total global cases with an outcome, not 15% of total global cases, not 15% of the population of Aust, and certainly not 15% of the global population.

Yes

And

Death rates are calculated based on "cases that have had an outcome" already
(Thus the current 15% death rate as of now)

That's perfectly normal and logical

We can't estimate the death rates based on "active cases" as we're not 100% sure on what's gonna happen with the active cases yet
(As they haven't had a definitive outcome yet)

You're confirming what I'm saying Trekin

Hmm just above that it says 96% are mild cases... so you doing that 11% of them will die... assuming that all of the critical cases die?

Seriously need to look at the whole picture

Trekin;
It's not statistical bias
No offence man but
That's a very stupid thing what you've just said
OBVIOUSLY you can't estimate a death rate on someone, if that person hasn't died or lived yet haha
You've gotta wait for the final outcome
Completely logical
:)

Ziad;
The death rate is 15%

And yet you are quite happy to do just that with your earlier statement "2020 corona virus:
15% death rate = Potentially 300x million deaths". Not only extending the statistical rate to all those all ready infected, but to global population, a goodly percentage of which may not even get infected.

Whatever the truth, we'll never know for sure.
China would never admit that they engineered it, countries like USA will never accuse them even if they had evidence as the public backlash would impact their own bio weapons research but other countries would carry on.

It could have been a US bio weapon being tested in China (I think that's one of the Chinese narratives) or it could be a random hop to a different species by a virus which regularly mutates (actually the most likely source, has happened before and will happen again)

However, it's never been clearer that government exists only to protect the economy, people are just a disposable and renewable resource that the economy uses up and spits out.

Specifically- for Tas LGS.
I went to three lgs in Tassie today.
Shops most recent orders have just been filled...and all shops confirmed, that they have been told there is no expected shipments in the next 12 months at minimum!!!

When the 3rd shop confirmed this same message, I’m sorry, but I bought up what I could...
Stores I visited had no mainstream powders - or ppl had left money to pick up later.
Tassie being what it is - somewhat unique - but be aware ppl. We are going to go into lockdown - I’ve just had schools in tassie confirm they are closing.

I got some gear yesterday...they told me to my face the stock will stay the same price until sold out, & that more were on the way from supplier at same cost.

So i just bought some more of exactly the same thing from the same stock on the same shelf at the same place today & its suddenly gone up 10%..
:unknown:

I bet these people have a shed full of toilet paper & flour...

The same website from where your quoting, is estimating between a 2 and 3% death rate - still very high for this type of virus but if 15% was really, really on the radar? I think the Army would already be deployed...

And Stix - I had no idea blackened looked like that. Hell - I thought blackened was a bloke, I’m going to start swearing at everyone now...f u, f them, f everybody lol

Freezers are full MM, bunnies, wallaby, resident sheep are looking sick lol.
Think there is - should be? - some leeway, ppl are scared and locked in / on their keyboards.

I don’t like the name calling either, but I don’t think it’s malice, it’s frustration, over zealousness, it’s fear of the unknown and it’s going to get worse.

That being said. Ms page - Whip me, whip me - yeehaas!

good to see you are onto it Tassie

l am very interested in hearing what people have to say, especially about this chinese disease
l am not interested in watching someone being conceited thinking they are intelligent talking down to someone, its bullying
what l have been seeing for a long time is the same conceited person getting threads shutdown that dont have to be
its his game thinking he is greater
