To shoot a 220 grn in a 308 is really not of any benefit to the average shooter. Much better of shooting a lighter bullet. To get any benefit from the higher BC of some of the 200 grn and higher bullets you really need a 30 inch barrel and to push them so hard that the brass only lasts one maybe two firings. Also you really need a big heavy duty custom action and a big heavy barrel esp around the chamber.
To go subsonic again it would still be better to use a lighter bullet to get a 220 to stabilize at such low speeds is going to require a very high twist rate.
