And make false statements from the police, get charged, lose your firearms permanently and get to apply again in 5 years..
There are a couple of words in the "Law Abiding Firearms Owners" that seem to escape some people.
Letting your wife contact the police for advise would seem to be reasonable, you need to stay out of this to the extent that you can except if questioned as a witness. Otherwise, you should probably just follow the best isolation procedures that you can, treat her as infected and make the best of the situation.
