Nop ya not the only one, I don't even bother with the cleaning of my brass much (occasionally put it through one of those Aldi Ultrasonic cleaners) I generally just give em a quick wipe over and reload em.
I honestly can't be bothered with all that airy fairly case prep stuff, I only shoot fur and they all seem to fall over whether I've done that sorta stuff or not so I don't bother with it much anymore.

I'll occaisonally give them a spin with some steel wool, even with comp they only get a clean if they really need it. Like you I am more concerned with what they do not what they look like and if there is no performance benefit I just can't be bothered wasting time.

Yeah no worriesFozzy wrote:Main reason for the .22 combo is for the missus to have something to learn to shoot with and bust bunnies with without annoying everyone.
On the subject of the misses.
I shoot with my GF and used to have a .308 (she had a .243).
I was shooting 150gr loads in my .308 and the recoil was just too much for her and didn't enjoy shooting it.
A little while ago I switch to a 7mm-08 instead of the .308. I used 140gr bullets for game hunting and 120gr for varmints and punching paper.
She can shoot the 120gr load all day no problem (she's only small, about 60kg).
Just a thought for your hunting rifle if you'd like something she can regularly use too.
Good shooting.
