Woah woah woah, what are you a psycho? People can't be trusted with hedges. There's no need for hedges. If you want hedges why don't you move over to Europe or the UK? You'd fit right in with those hedgelovers.

I think walls however need to be kept to the police and military persons only.

Even if you went through all paperwork for it AND they gave it to you, you've now got to depend on that business for the bulk of your income.

I actually don't see the need for military or police to have walls if we look at it using their logic... They say we don't need walls, hedges, gates OR fences, we must rely on them and they will act as barriers in our time of need. Which clearly isn't going to work.. so.. using that logic.... why don't they just rely on America, the EU or the Commonswealth (not a typo) to act as barriers in their time of need? It'd take them about the same time to react to the situation while having the same effect.

Moats are entirely legal, however they must be filled with dirt and have sufficient warning signage and bollards.

And then only if you have them certified as permanently inoperable by a licenced moat builder, who has the new Cert IV in moat design, building and operation.

It will start with the "Assault Rifles" in the USA and will trickle down. No matter what we believe to represent a reasonable to own firearm - the goal is (and has always been) to not have any kind of weapon in the hands of ordinary citizens.

Some points straight from the gentlemen's own website https://joebiden.com/gunsafety/#

Quote:

- End the online sale of firearms and ammunitions. Biden will enact legislation to prohibit all online sales of firearms, ammunition, kits, and gun parts.

- Put America on the path to ensuring that 100% of firearms sold in America are smart guns. Today, we have the technology to allow only authorized users to fire a gun. For example, existing smart gun technology requires a fingerprint match before use. Biden believes we should work to eventually require that 100% of firearms sold in the U.S. are smart guns. But, right now the NRA and gun manufacturers are bullying firearms dealers who try to sell these guns. Biden will stand up against these bullying tactics and issue a call to action for gun manufacturers, dealers, and other public and private entities to take steps to accelerate our transition to smart guns.

- Hold gun manufacturers accountable. In 2005, then-Senator Biden voted against the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, but gun manufacturers successfully lobbied Congress to secure its passage. This law protects these manufacturers from being held civilly liable for their products – a protection granted to no other industry. Biden will prioritize repealing this protection.

- Reduce stockpiling of weapons. In order to reduce the stockpiling of firearms, Biden supports legislation restricting the number of firearms an individual may purchase per month to one.

Those 4 items alone may be enough to eventually put an end to most of civilian firearm ownership. Not through outlawing ownership but by making it not feasible to be in that business anymore.

Also, if USA legislation ever becomes partially more restrictive than Australian then I doubt the local NGOs will sit on their hands. Imagine Americans couldn't order ammo online (think reloading components) but Aussie rednecks could have projectiles etc. shipped to their home. Just takes a couple of articles in the main stream media and social networks to get the ball rolling.

I would agree that some states in the USA could do with more control when it comes to firearms (been there, done that). However, I don't doubt for a moment that any restriction over there will eventually affect us here - and it will not stop at the single-shot bolt action rifle level. :?

Smart guns are ****** thats why they arent sold, every and anyone who has used or owned one reports just this, cant be used wearing gloves which is needed in a lot of places in north america's cold/european/NZ/South american cold or where insects and sun are an issue. the biometrics always fail even in ideal conditions. Ultimately its a complete and utter infringement of the 2nd in the USA, but for all intents and purposes its useless elsewhere hence law enforcement not having it.

How their skyrocketing gun crime is in restrictive places. the firearms are usually illegal. your belief is a manufactured ideal of the authoritarian left.

The reality is mass murders with firearms can occur, but are more difficult without high capacity firearms.
And the reality is that these types of firearms are not needed by the average shooter, or by very few people for legit reasons.
We dont need or want US style gun ownership so licencing and most restrictions are both reasonable and fair.

More or less agree. After all there are requirements for cranes, trucks, cars, aircraft, all of which can kill or injure. Exactly what firearms are capable of doing in the wrong hands.

But in saying that there are a few very, very stupid laws and we need to be listened to.

in the end, they have a right that is doubly protected by the constitution in the United states, most murders are committed by drug fuelled gangs, the other gigantic slather of gun deaths are suicide, (there are plenty of ways to knock yourself off), leaving what is actually quite a small amount of gun deaths left over. those include malfunctions, accidents and other undisclosed as well as law enforcement shooting people. so after stripping it all down, out of the some 30,000 total deaths you get to well below 2000 that are carried out with guns and to be honest 2000 is probably being too generous considering nearly 80% of the 30,000 are gang related shootings (with fkn illegal guns that no gun law is ever going to curb).

in reality any of you who buy into it are ABC living and breathing lemmings who cant see the forest for the trees. there are 380 million documented USA citizens with a massive transient/worker/travelling professional population, as well as Millions of undocumented illegals. to try and compare that to Australia in any way is retarded. given the sheer volume of highly organised and heavily armed and funded gangs there are in the united states, the disparity between places within and a piss poor mental health system, the problem most definitely is NOT guns and is most definitely NOT the type of guns they have access to. AR15 an AK variant rifles make up such an insignificant amount of deaths in the USA, to be outraged over it is perhaps the most hypocritical anyone could ever be. how dare someone be outraged over the availability of an AR15 to a law abiding citizen who passes the governments own background checks *(the usa has one of the most invasive metadata and personal information collecting "technocracy" in the world, almost anything they can know about you, they know) and remained a good citizen their whole life free of felony charges, HOW DARE anyone insinuate that its not good that they be allowed an AK variant all the while the government turns a blind eye to ford SUV's like the explorer that killed thousands in roll overs, how dare they turn a blind eye to baseball bats that have killed more people than both ak variants and ar15's put together per year, how dare they overlook the dodgey medical procedures that kill more people than guns every year.

my opinion F#ck anyone onboard with infringing on anyone's rights, and screw them harder if they are stupid enough to think that penalising anyone law abiding with more restrictions and "government bureaucracy" is ever ok and justified, because no matter what brainwashed response you give, it isn't.

We should also remember that the prohibition of arms of any sort in the hands of citizens predates gunpowder.

In oppressive regimes yes. Though the English for example allowed at least longbows to be kept and trained with so that they had a steady supply of reserves for war.
