About the time the "Berlin Wall" came down a stack of wartime rifles became available from East German sources. I saw one at my LGS and it was made in 1941 still in the cosmoline..and I had little idea of its worth as a hunting rifle and I left it there, well the Bankcard was already running hot too. 1941 ? Things were going 'well' for the Nazi regime in 1941 so by that the rifle would have been well made, good steel, proofed etc. It was not pretty so I guess it ended up in the back of a ute some where.
It was in 8 x 57.
