Yep-mine was ~6 months - no record, no risk, mature aged, work for the state govt.....
Interesting that they have pulled the stats from the FAR page too...

Have been operating on a Vic licence so no biggie apart from no PTAs, keeps temptation to expand the "arsenal" at bay I reckon.

My PTAs have been coming through really fast. Even pistol PTAs.

Covid saw a reduction of staff at the NFR by two people one of those was the guy who specialises in dealer B709 forms etc so remaining staff had to take on that work load.
Covid panic saw a dramatic increase on new applications by hundreds if not a couple grand obliviously that’s going to push waiting times back.
The dashboard is updated Wednesday evening , queens bond have their ( back end )system linked in to update stock arrivals from customs for pick up for local dealers.
I’m in the same boat 10 months waiting but also have resigned from being annoyed or frustrated as it’s pointless, just think of the current situation as something similar to a bricklayer placing 5 bricks a day on a house.
The registration process is like watching a time lapse of crabs eating a whale.

I'm a NSW teacher who has already passed criminal checks, so that shouldn't be an issue at all.

My mother received her letter about attending for photo on the 12/7/2021 so that was super fast from the sounds of others experience.
The rest of us are still waiting for letter but will update when/if received But I have no reason to believe I or anyone else in my family would be refused.
