yeh , go the 358 pete . i've got a 1.5-5x20 on mine for close work , sort of rules it out unless i do a scope swap . i'd like a vx2 2-7 for mine ......

The thing I don't like about my 7600 in 30.06 for deer is that it is too noisy to chamber a round and I don't like relying on the safety.
