Sooo, I have in the past bought a couple of cheapo trail cameras in the past. ($50) I’ve had poor results with just a few decent pics but mostly they failed after a 3 or 4 stints in the bush. And batteries flat after just a couple of weeks. Pic quality was OK/usable but far from great. Night pics were very poor.
I’m not after great pics but I need reliability and have been waiting for about 6 months for the Aldi cameras to come on sale. Everyone gives them a good wrap. They are still not on sale/available so I noticed on another forum a lot of good comments about a year ago about “Boblov” trail cameras and they are still available on fleabay for $88.
I decided I would blow my xmas $ and buy two. (Hey big spender.) LOL
A couple of comments.
The batteries are behind the R/H panel.
If the battery is below 60% it will not take night pics (bummer) But I guess this will extend battery life.
You can’t use re-chargeable batteries. (bummer)
It takes a tif card upto 32gig. I'm using 16gig
The menu has 23 options and very easy to follow and set.
They also come with a wall mount unit. (Ill use that so the camera can act as a security camera if I go away on extended trips)
One is now set up in the back yard for a couple of days testing.
I will report back.
