Hi guys
First up im new to this forum so better say hi! Just got my FL a few months back and a couple of rifles. I'm currently living in VIC but we are moving to SA soon as we have a little one on the way and the wife's family lives there. We also have just bought a 10 acre block of land in the hills.
My question is..is there a minimum size for a property before you are allowed to shoot on it in SA? I emailed the department of the environment people and they just said i didn't need a permit to hunt on my own land - no mention of restrictions....i want to make 100% sure before i go making some noise. The land is Hills Face Zone, i.e. not rural but not residential either.
The property is very hilly with lots of gullies etc so ill have no dramas with finding a backstop, my neighbours are also quite excited about someone dealing with the fox and rabbit problem and deer have been sighted.....i think they are looking forward to a BBQ?! anyway neither of them has a problem with me shooting on the property.
To be honest i was just thinking about using the .22 with sub sonics and going for the bunnies...the .308 is a bit loud
Anyway if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Nick
