Lol. Ozgunlobby would be lucky to have a dozen posts a week.

I suspect it's bad feelings over the argument here abt 6 months ago. Personally sorry they feel like that.

Spot on OB, someone's still got a sore bottom.

It's a shame they couldn't have simply posted updates and left the squabbling to everyone else.

Whoever that was posting here was definitely better off not being here, it was looking extremely unprofessional.

Blackend should personally thank them for the free plug

Yes, that was a particularly odd comment, I figured he must be associated and trying to drum up some membership :-)
Thought there must've been some argument happening here that I've missed when I saw this pop up on my FB feed today.

Are there any other Aussie forums forums that are considered useful?
I joined up to every Aussie forum I could find back in 2014 when I was looking for an online forum, so I'm a member of lots. But this was the only local one that's been worth staying with - it was fairly active, good moderation to keep the riff raff under control, and a large store of actual useful information rather than thread after thread of random chat. I'm on other international forums, though not at all active.

Here's to you Roger Smith, Id say most of us on this forum actually miss having the NSC posting here, it's a shame one or two members made it unbearable for you :drinks:

Agreed, I'm with NSC and I thought it was excellent that they had representation here.

If the NSC returns here hopefully can keep their main account for important information and updates that they feel needs to be shared with the wider shooting community and then use personal accounts for any petty insults and bickering that they feel they have to be involved in.

Using their 'NSC' account for the latter was a model of unprofessional behavior that actually made their leaving the forum the best thing for them at the time.

I'll admit the Ron from Alice Springs case had me wondering if the NSC was backing the wrong horse... they won that one to.

They've got a massive set of balls.

My lesson on that one was about law interpretation.
While you can't acquire firearms for the purpose of self defense it's possible that in certain circumstances the use of one may be justified.
I don't plan on being next to test that one out but fortunately for Rob...

I was a member of NSC for a while. I then saw the comments on AHN regarding NSC taking credit for actions in court for which they apparently played no part. So I emailed NSC and asked them for some proof that they had funded and organised the cases for which they were taking credit. They were unable to provide any. They simply referred me back to their media statements. Just a simple confirmation that they had actually met with these people would have sufficed. So I let my membership lapse. Which is a pity. We shooters really need an organisation that does what NSC claims to do. I would join again in an instant.

Have to agree with that Blade racer, small forum but quality info here. Whenever I do general google searches about the obscure stuff I am into or the off the the cuff questions( alfa proj revolvers, quality of Adler, best larger game bullets in 22mag) enoughgun seems to come up in a lot of hits. So I joined.

I decided to dial back my political debate here too , getting a bit carried away and dont want to wreck a good resource for myself. :silent:

Three weeks ago I decided to go back and read all my own posts from the start.
I'm up to July, 2019 so far. There really is a lot of good stuff locked away in this forum.
When I get through my own I'll go back to July, 2013 and have a read from the very beginning :-)

It’s not all that matters.
The nsc should hold themselves to a high standard and have dignity.
I’m yet to see them brand themselves as respectful.

s**t got crazy when similar writing styles was pointed out.

Then the Grim Reaper himself was escorted away into the afterlife (or afterdeath?) by a higher being than himself.

I was surprised to see last night that Roger Smith is claiming that Grimreaper was booted from the forum for being NSC?
I thought banned accounts still remained but with "Banned" next to them?
Can anybody confirm whether he was banned or simply closed his own account.

Actually, I just checked and banned members posts look perfectly normal - no reference to indicate they're banned and all their posts still exist.
I think GR simply removed himself from here, again perhaps.

I'm thinking Roger Smith and Grimreaper are the same person.

Um, I'm not sure above is the full story. Mods are able to delete posts too.

Delete members posts, then ban member, all gone. But if you search he is no longer here.

I'm an NSC member, I'm still here!

I'm still scratching my head. Don't know what he did wrong if he did get booted out. Praps I missed something.

It seems that politics can be discussed so long as it's kept civil and not degenerate into name calling and bullsh!t, trouble is, some folks can't help themselves.
I've noticed that some members get on here and their only posts are in political or non gun related topics. If I notice someone that is particularly argumentative, a quick search of their posts lets me know what they're about.
We all have political views and biases, some are just a bit more fervent when it comes to discussions that challenge their mindset.
The NSC do like blowing their own trumpet, make claims that an outcome was entirely their doing and when challenged on the facts, go into a tirade of abuse against whoever dares to question them.
Hang on, I'll just go put some body armour on...
