#00 Buckshot vs #2 Shot?

Something I've been wondering about for some time now.
What is generally considered the better shot?
Curious as to what most people use.
I know its obviously dependent on application, but as a general all rounder?

#2 shot is less than half the size of 00 buck.
#2 shot is hefty for birds but far smaller than buckshot.

00 Buck is .33", #2 Buck is .27", #2 shot is .15".

I liked #4 shot as a kid for birds and rabbits, BB's for foxes. Don't believe I've ever used buckshot to take animals, rifles work much better.
I mainly used #6, #4, and #2 shot back then - #6 shot I found on the light side for punching through feathers, #2 didn't have a dense enough pattern for galahs and starlings coming head-on.

I still keep BB's for foxes but it'll be a very unusual situation where I'll grab a gun rather than a rifle.

#2 shot is better for everything except pigs.

Foxes, hares, rabbits, ducks, cats out to 50m l.

There is a rule you will rule out of pattern before you run out of energy.
