Neat concept, I can think of many jobs it would be too light and flexible for but for light work she'd be handy and sharp as all f***.

What do replacement blades cost ?

Yep, it isn't till you have a full sized one on the deck that you appreciate just how big some are. 308 is a good choice IMO

I have lots of havalon stuff. Been using it for yrs. I carry a similar one to what you mentioned occasionally if I’m only expecting light work. But if I think heavier duties could crop up I carry the combo version. It’s something like the pic here .... replacement blades generally but a thick strong blade too so u can do tougher jobs without breaking or accidental release of blade

I'd rather run a knife over a steel with cold fingers than try to change a little scalpel blade....

Changing scalpel blades in the rain when your hands are covered in blood is a nightmare, we use them to castrate the calves, but they do give an exceptionally clean cut.

Flash man. When u said exp folder that’s exactly what I use I just couldnotfond a picture of it. I prefer the straight blade o the exp it sits on a stone better. And regarding cutting fingers I do admit for the first week of owning my first havalon I was getting little nicks from careless handling because i was pviosly not used to such a sharp blade. From then Onwds I was fine ... I have never cut myself changing blades because I pause, switch on and do it with care

Now that I have mastered the art of blade changing I must start working on less accidental double posts
