Next you will get a speeding fine for a toy car going too fast in your back yard.

Absolutely ridiculous, airsoft and gelsoft should be legalised across Australia. Good on that NSW judge for speaking out!

I think there’s only two countries in the world where toy guns are banned. Aus and Singapore.
Airsoft enjoys massive popularity everywhere else as just harmless fun.
I had a family member buy me one as a Christmas gift. Had to explain how lethal they are in Australia. Would need to be registered, stored in a safe seperate from its jelly balls etc. and I returned the gift.
Really put me on the spot to be honest. Had to make up some crap about people having fatal allergic reactions to the gelatin because of the hole in the ozone layer.
They still think I’m a bit strange.
And in fairnesses I didn’t really make a lot of sense.

Another example of the NSW Police meritocratic system in action also known as promotion on merit.
NSW Police regularly exceed their authority and / or ignore the law in order to up their KPI's by pursuing easily solved trivial matters that once, if warranted, may have been dealt with a caution.
On the other hand more serious matters that might not easily be solved are often ignored.

Specifically NSW.

on top of that name one medical system in this country that's running correctly and name one state that has the same police force that we grew up with through the 70s and 80s you know when you could walk up the road with a 10/22 in your hand to go to the paddock and shoot rabbits and nobody cared and the coppers gave you a kick up the arse when you deserved it and you moved on.

Or you'll get a speeding fine because the spoiler and mag wheels on your car makes it look fast.

Sh!t, I'm in trouble. I have a silver Triton with alloy wheels. The silver streaker. Lol.

We don't want lunatics driving heavy trucks or flying aircraft. Same with firearms. But they need to be based on common sense and facts. Not how fast a politician can have a wank.

Very true. But by the 80’s the police would just shoot you. Became quite the trend. Nowadays they just shoot your dog.

I suspect toy guns are illegal in nsw and vic so they can boost the stats of unregistered firearms taken of the streets, seized in raids etc.

And rabbits in the 70’s were not such entitled sentient beings and we are trying to be more inclusive.

But of course you’d have to borrow a trailer to pick up a chick from NSW
