WA "active shooter"

Post by Bazz » 07 Sep 2023, 3:41 pm

Hopefully the victim is ok. *edit - sadly this was upgraded to fatal*

More fuel to the raging fire we've got going on over here...

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-09-07/ ... /102826106

Police have issued an 'active shooter alert' and urged residents of the small farming community of Kellerberrin to stay inside and avoid travelling by any means.
Lachlan Bowles, 25, has been named by police as a person urgently sought after, with the public urged not to approach him if spotted but to immediately call triple zero.
Police allege the gunman went to a grain silo in Kellerberrin, 200km east of Perth, at around 8.40am (10.40am AEST) today and discharged his gun.
He then fled in a vehicle.
He is believed to be "armed and dressed in camouflage clothing".

Hopefully they get a hold of this lunatic quickly.

With all due respect I've had a dozen or so homicides within 10km over the last decade as the POS fought it out with the POS. Then Sisco was hacked to death by a mentally unwell person at Pellegrini's, Gargasolous ran down 33 people killing 6, another POS shoots a solicitor in the head and a tourist in the stomach in broad daylight while kicking his girlfriend to the kerb.

Just another day in Melbourne and nobody is calling for a ban on guns or hunting except the duck army.

Another far right nutter . Was licensed unfortunately. Don’t know how these people get approved. Topped himself.
Victim leaves behind two children.

Yeah I read that he had children....bloody awful.

No doubt it will add more momentum to the push for mandatory mental health checks but to be honest it doesn't sound like this piece of s*** was ever a fit and proper person. Waving a nazi flag and wearing a swastika armband. How the hell did the people around him not question his suitability to hold a firearms licence? Given that the victims surname was Polish, you have to wonder...

A sad day for the town.

Thing is this grub has a history of good character. Paramedic and award recipient. But then seems he’s been radicalised.
Held a pistol licence also, so would have been a regular club attendee.
So surely people around him noticed the red flags. Certainly people who he lived with, socialised with, worked with etc.
So he’s basically just a nut job waiting to happen. Ticking time bomb. And no doubt people have raised concerns.
All this in a state where you can loose your guns for having a bad hair day.
So did they let him happen.

That’s not even a real word. You lifted that from Mary Poppins and that’s possibly even less relevant.

Well the Mary Poppins word does mean something to say when you have nothing to say, so kind of relevant. :D
