For years I made do with multi piece coated and uncoated rods until treating myself to a couple of these.
Tipton Deluxe1-Piece Carbon Fibre RodSeemed everyone in my circle had differing opinions.
Coated is fine, uncoated is safer, brass is better, multi piece is universal, multi piece will ruin the bore.
I purchased two of these and definitely the best investment in rifle cleaning gear I've made.
I cant recall the lengths but have a shorter length one in .22 and a longer one in .27 which covers what I own, (224,243,257,264,270,284,308,311,357 and 12g).
I store them in 40mm electrical conduit which makes them easier to transport. Being one piece they are a long object but no longer than a firearm in any case.
They were bloody expensive (to me at least) when I purchased them and a quick search on the internet proves they still are.
