Relative just moved from Adelaide to Melbourne. Passed all safety courses etc. He doesn't have a referee in Melbourne. The one person has to sign off everything. Has people in Adelaide Sydney Brisbane even Perth but all related by blood or marriage. Ideas please?

When I did it I didn't think it required the referees to reside here in Vic. But I had been visiting Rose's family here for years before we moved across so people already knew me here. I can't find a copy of the application but does it state that they must live locally?

Doesn't specify local. But i think we have found an obscure answer(person) who just might do it.

This must be a Victorian thing. Only need a referee in Queensland if you are going for a pistol licence without already having an AB licence.
