Carl Gustaf 96/38 Rifle Stock

Does anyone know where to look for a rifle stock for a 96/38?
My Dad gave me his but the stick has been chopped up and sanded and just looks terrible. So I'd like to try and restore it with an original stock

As we can no longer buy these from the US your only recourse is to search shows, auctions and dealers for either an m/96 stock or a very worn rifle at a cheap price then have the stock shortened to size. If you are not fussed about having a correct m/96-38 stock and would accept a Husqvarna m/38 stock this might be a bit easier to find, I found a nice m/38 stock at Ballarat Show recently. Ring T-Bone, Recoil Firearms, Rebel for starters as they all deal in military rifles and Good Luck.

Thanks. That's basically what I've been doing. I was at the Bendigo show and had a few close calls but not quite.
I've found a nice full length 96, so the option is their to get a smith to cut it to length properly if I'm still looking in a year or so.
I've tried Rebel, I'll give those other a try too and just keep on looking.
The Bendigo show was just amazing. I had such a nice time their with family
