Doing it tough - Aussies missing out on Christmas

Post by Wapiti » 05 Dec 2025, 4:18 pm

I knew things were tough for Australian families but I had a huge shock today when statistics from Aus's collective charities are saying that HALF of the families in this country in 2025 will either miss out on Christmas, or barely have enough to make one happen for their kids and loved ones.

So I'm sitting here and my blood is boiling. The word "hate" has taken on a new meaning for me when it comes to the c**ts that have caused this to happen, first with tax policies, then covid money printing, and now topped off with the incredibly cruel net-zero bullsh*t.
And the peanuts that keep voting for the creatures that are ruining them.

One country-based charity was saying that when they give one wrapped present to local kids in need, they don't rush to open it straight away but take it home so that there is something sitting under the Christmas tree. That's if there is a tree.
Don't get caught cutting down a free, pest cypress pine for the loungeroom.

This Christmas, if you can spare anything (and thats an IF), keep an eye out for people in need. At the shops, layby counters, wherever. If you have some spare cash, there's always a Salvos or Smith Family volunteer sitting somewhere on the town main street asking for help to put a smile on some kids face.

All year I've been scabbing my friends and neighbours 10c cans and bottles, and have really p*ssed off the pensioners down the local cash-for-cans centre hogging a spot for hours. I have about $1200 dollars now. I have some ideas what I'm going to do.
We also decided after a lot of thought to run our business in town at no expense to the patients, after a long hard look if we could afford it. People cannot afford health care if they have to dip in their pocket. In doing so, we have angered the big high-turnover medical centre in town that charges an extra $50, and caused the other practice to go Medicare rebate only too. Hopefully that business will survive that.

If you can do so, or have any good ideas, please share them or at least, keep an eye out for people struggling.
It's pretty easy to spot, I know it all too well from growing up. It's the kid's that suffer the most. Second are tge poor parents ashamed to see them do without.
This shouldn't happen in Australia, that has EVERYTHING the world needs to keep moving, and the skilled people to make the country grow.
But "we" keep voting for the activist human trash, career politicians interested only in themselves and their masters.

Those mongrels make me sick.

As a child my parents went through a ruff patch of life and for kids they see it so I donate often this time of year to the food banks the salvation army and a group called good fellows.
Many don't see the good that happens from many of these groups but as a child I did and pay it forward

Well said. Pay it forward.
One act of kindness can make a huge difference in someone’s life.
You don’t need to owe them anything. You don’t need anything in return. You don’t need to justify it, but thats how you do. Because they’ll remember and do the same for someone else someday.
