45-75 Winchester

Post by Kelsey Cooter » 11 Mar 2026, 11:02 am

I'm ready to make my first rounds for my Uberti 1876 chambered in 45-75 Winchester (NOT 45-70gov)

Anyone loading 45-75w ?

I have Bertram brass, RCBS uberti 45-75 dies and 350gn HRBC projectiles.

I am lucky enough to have alot of old reloading books, yet none have any data.
The only data I have is from Cartridges of the World, listing a 350gn projectile and 24grains of IMR4198 for a velocity of 1380

Would 5% less be a good place to start with AR2207?

Anyone have any data or experience with 45-75winchester?
I'm not interested in black powder

That data in COTW is for original rifles, 24g of 2207 would be fine in an Uberti. Loaddata list 24 to 28 of Accurate 5744 which is between 2205 & 2207 for the 350g pill and 38 to 42 of 2208 for modern reproductions.

Oh you absolute legend, thanks no1mk3. I actually thought of you when I said to my wife yesterday that I hope someone on here might subscribe to loaddata.

If accurate 5744 is faster than 2207 would it make those numbers a bit of a rough guild for 07?

I should say, I'm not chasing speed or anything silly, I have a 1886 and 1892's for that. Just wanting to make fun mild loads with 07 that won't risk bending a link pin
