if you bought a sako quad you could get the complete set of 4 barrels 17hm2, 22lr, 17hmr, 22wmr with the rifle . dunno how this would go with WLB , cleaver in QLD sell 22lr, 17hmr, 22wmr for around $300 barrel and magazine to suit . sounds like a PITA having to inform WLB every time you want to swap barrels . i'm not sure this is the case in QLD. there's some fellas that shoot in big game comp at my local range that have blaser rifles with changeable barrels , as do schultz and larson rifles .next time i see them i'll ask the blaser owners what the law is regarding multiple barrel rifles up here in QLD . you've aroused my curiosity
i've thought about getting a cz457 myself as i've had a desire for a 22wmr of late . not having to put in another PTA for another rifle and just change barrels sounds like a handy thing , as is the ability to change out to a aftermarket barrel like a IBI or a lilja if so inclined . do you have a 24" sporter rifle , or the varmit version ? let us know how you go , i'm curious about the cz457 and would like to hear any feedback you can give . cheers
