Renewing game licence Victoria

Post by scrolllock » 23 Jan 2015, 10:34 am

Hi guys,

Plenty have Vic guys will have done this I'm sure.

I'm a few weeks from my game license expiring and haven't received anything from whoever it is now that manages it. (forgotten who changed what name to what recently here).

Thought I would have gotten a reminder or something by now with renewal info. Should I?

Or do I have to go do it instead of waiting for the bill to turn up?

I walked in to a DEPI office for mine. Pretty sure renewing it could be done over the phone via credit card if your details haven't changed. They don't need to check much to begin with.

You should get a reminder.

I recently renewed mine. Got the letter in the mail about 7-8 weeks from due I think?

Short waiting time to none for PTA, able to hunt on public land by just filling in a form; Blimey, it's almost worth moving to Victoria.

Dunno what the deal was but the letter arrived today in the end.

Fell behind the seat of the post truck or something...

Well it is even better than that - you don't need a bit of paper at all to hunt ferals (bunnies, fox, goat, pig) in state forest. The game license is only required for deer and feathered game.
