When I organised my fathers funeral in 2008 I was going through the catalogue of coffins looking for something appropriate and would burn well. I was surprised that you can buy pressed cardboard coffins printed with any design you choose....they had all the beer brands, Ford, Holden and football teams...I was going to choose the VB themed coffin but the old man would have considered that a waste of good beer so I chose conventional wood. I did however sneak a bottle of scotch into the coffin so he'd burn with a bright blue flame as he had joked so many times.

Just to put my opinion out here and to be on topic, I'd feel a lot safer both out in the country and in the city, being able to end a situation like so:

Crim: Show us the good stuff! *Holding you up*

"Oh, you must wanna see the high quality of a Walther then?"

*Takes out P-38*

*Cue crim stunned by Walther's awe-inspiring manufacturing, and he proceeds to keel over from just the sight of the barrel*

A little stretched out but yeah, I'd be all for self defense by conceal carry. Heck, conceal-carrying deters a lot of possible attackers because they know they may get blasted by picking on the wrong person. I believe its called the 'minefield effect'.

TBH, I'd probably stun him with the walther, then just taser the bastard. Because if he's dead, then he can't live out a full jail sentence.

Tho considering they get off easy nowadays, maybe he should just be disposed of. Guess its a decision to make there and then, but if it saves your life, then isn't either one a good thing? :unknown:

Very Atute observations :friends:

And when fitted with a Crimson Trace or similar laser, the bad guy REALLY gets the message because he can see its for real and he knows exactly where the projectile is going. This usually results in zero shootings. There is a belief that between 1 million and two million "non-shooting" uses of a self defines weapon happen in the USA every year.

Hard to argue with that.

I reckon if you shine the laser pointer at their balls and say surrender or i will shoot the majority will surrender when they see the red or green dot on the balls.

About 20 years ago i saw 2 people surrender to an old grey haired lady who had an unloaded .22 pointed at them, that caused many laughs over the years.

Usually they run or at least back off and start whining as soon as they see the gun come out. But not always to be sure.

Change your culture or all is lost.

We did it. You can, too.

Or you can give up and let them take everything. That won't be their fault, that will be your fault. Men don't pass the buck.

I have three current carry guns. A full size 1911 in 45ACP, Taurus 38 snubby and NAA mini-revolver in 22 mag.
I've been asked: "How many guns do you need to have?" My answer remains the same: "One more."

I saw a wonderful page on the net once where it showed the crime rate in the U.S on a state by state basis.
(Now i am not 100% on the numbers but they are close. )
It said that states with laws as tough or even tougher than ours in Australia. Have a murder rate at around 50 murders per 100,000 ppl. These states/areas include Detroit, New York etc all the usual suspects. Where as states or counties with more gun friendly laws. Such as some counties in Texas where there are counties where everyone owns a gun and the law promotes the idea of self defence the murder rate is something like 0.02 murders per 100,000. to give you some idea how low that is Australia is something 2.5-3 murders per 100,000 ppl.
But you'll never hear the left winged anti gun crazies reporting on those stats.
In Australia. You have no right to protect yourself. My friend. A mother or 4 was bringing her kids in from the car one night, When a two men and a woman attacked her in her own home. She managed to fight them off . But she then had the problem of her other two kids still in the car. When she went outside to get her kids the female home invader said "Let's have a go" and attacked her again. Luckily she managed to fight her off the second time. She got the kids in side and called the cops. Immediately the police started victim blaming. They said that because she went outside and never locked herself in the house. It was an "Agreed upon fight" so they wouldn't be pressing charges against the assailant for that. Because. Not wanting to leave two little screaming kids in a car out side with violent junkies. Means that you give permission to be attacked.. And as for the home invasion. It was a case of . "What home invasion?"
They would literally dodge the issue every time it was brought up.

Homicide rate in usa is around 4 per 100k, its an average across all regions....in some states cities and towns its a lot lower..... some a lot higher... something overlooked is that the figures thrown around include intentional as well as non intentional homicide..... if they really want to mislead theyll include suicide.....

Aus homicide rate is under 1 per 100k ....and we have many more firearms 'in the community' than we did before the stealback. What? More guns less murder?? Yup.

Keep in mind half of the people murdered in our country are black, and they are only around 15% of the population.

It's a shame. But the country and the government seem to want more of it. Not referring to drugs, but convincing people life is hopeless, your neighbors are the cause of all your problems, and getting them hooked on handouts. Obama has done a bang-up job of demotivating and angering people and it wouldn't surprise me to see crime start going up for the first time in 25 years. He inherited a country with the lowest crime rates since the 60s. To be clear, they were higher in the 60s.

He along we his cronies have opened your borders.... stand down orders to those protecting your borders.... how many illegals, from Mexico, as well as central and south America will it take before you guys take action? murder rate will climb as the miscegenation increases.....

This is also occurring in Europe, particularly germany, to the point where many are calling for commie Merkel's head.... talk of civil war...that they dont report in aus...

The internationalist still rule.... and they are as we speak destroying the 2 strongest white european christian societies

If our treasonous leaders did the same in Aus and we had countles illegals landing on our shores.... I'm sure there would be several million Aussies who would take action.

As far as the US murder rate considering economic and immigration trends..... the only wsy is up.... while those responsible for the destructive policies do everything in their powers to not only take away concealwd carry but alse the right to bear arms...

The last week in australia actually did a lot to advance the gun right cause here...
