Shooting glasses and pop up single eye patches?

Post by Bremen » 10 Sep 2019, 11:04 am

Hi guys
Silly as it might seem keeping one eye shut seems to fatigue my vision and I squint. I priced some of those adjustable shooting glasses and they were $300 odd which is too steep. (Google Varga 3000 to see the style).
Does anyone know if I can buy something that clips onto my glasses that I can't flick up or down?
Years ago I remember seeing ppl with sun glasses that clipped into prescription glasses that could be flick up or down. Haven't seen them in years and the optometrist isn't much help

The flip up & down clip on glasses I got from a "dollar dazzler shop".

Have you tried with both eyes open (obvious question, I know) ?

Some good ideas. I tried a 'pinhole sight' as mentioned above recently and was surprised how effective it was. Hadn't considered something similar directly on the glasses.
I have tried shooting with both eyes open and wasn't great however I feel I could train to be better.
I changed my search terms on eBay to "clip on glasses" and found those pop up clip one for $4.50 delivered ;-). Very interested to see how it works out.
