I'm so confused . I have a Miroku Mk70 with 3 chokes on the way. Have been told the chokes would be Improved Cylinder, Modified and Full.
My main use for this gun will be ducks with steel shot. I assume the names given to those chokes above relate to shooting lead, and they have different names with steel. Looking at the Browning site, what those chokes would be is:
3 notches - IC lead, IC steel
2 notches, M lead, IM steel
1 notch, F lead, do not use with steel
But I looked at ozziereviews video on chokes. He had Miroku choke tubes packaging in close up, and going by that label they would be
4 notches, IC lead, M steel
3 notches, M lead, F steel
1 notch, F lead, do not use with steel
Those don't match! Can anyone shed any light on that?
Tom Roster's steel shot lethality table suggests IC-M for most of the shooting I will be doing. If the browning site is right then I should be fine with the first two chokes but if the label I saw on ozziereview's video is right then I probably need to buy another choke (IC steel). ?
I don't have the chokes in front of me so I can't count the notches.
