I've stalked to within 30m off 3 when I was younger. Came to draw on the stag but didn't take the shot due to bush.

Nice Chuck, good to let the little one grow out

Big reds jumping out of a dusty dry bed sound like horse galloping, you never forget

About a year ago I was trying to ambush sambar sitting under a tree.
After about an hour I put the rifle down and went and had a sh1t.
Come back and hind was standing about 2 or 3 yards from my rifle. We stared at each other from perhaps 6-7 yards for maybe 2 minutes before she decided to bugger off.

Hunt safe. A bit more bang is better.
